We don’t take the “Green and Go” approach
A lot of shops will only do what’s necessary to get your car in the “Green Zone”. In fact, they don’t want to get it any closer than they have to – they don’t want your adjustments to be optimal. That way, tires and components wear out quicker, and they get additional work and sales sooner.
We don’t take that approach. We’d rather do it right. We’d also rather tailor your alignment to the type of driving you do and to what your individual needs are.
For example, if you routinely drive over the Mt. Rose Highway you need a different setting from someone that drives out to Ely on Highway 80. Different types of roads and different types of driving require different alignment. For the Mt. Rose driver, you’ll want a ½ degree different camber so your tires ride flatter. You get better wear, better traction, and better service.
We use an optical/digital alignment system. We have for the past several years and were one of the first shops in the area to employ such a system. While it’s starting to become more common, most shops don’t have the expertise or experience to take advantage of what this system offers – or don’t want to.
We do.
Our base price is $110.50 for a 4 Wheel Alignment and $65 for a 2 Wheel Alignment. While that covers most cars and applications, there are times when additional things might be needed. For example, if you’ve got a Porsche 911 that’s never been aligned, there’s a couple extra steps required which will add onto the base pricing.
